Purpose #
This article explains how clients can purchase fixed-price packages such as Starter Launch, Grow, or Upgrade directly through the Shopstars checkout. It covers each step of the process, payment options, invoicing, and what happens after checkout is complete.
Checkout Process #
Step 1: Select Package
Begin by choosing the package that best fits your needs. Packages are displayed with details about scope, inclusions, and pricing. The price shown is the amount you will pay during checkout.
Step 2: Review Order Summary
On the checkout page, an order summary is displayed on the right-hand side. This summary shows the selected package, quantity (always one, as packages are billed per engagement), and total price. If you have a coupon code, you can apply it in this section before proceeding.
Step 3: Enter Contact Information
You must provide a valid email address and full name. The email address will be used for order confirmation, invoice delivery, and all further billing communication. Ensure the address is accurate and monitored regularly.
Step 4: Enter Address
Shipping and billing addresses are required for invoicing purposes, even though packages are digital services. If your billing address matches your shipping address, you may check the box to copy the details automatically. Address information is used to generate legally compliant invoices and may also determine applicable banking options for transfers.
Step 5: Select Payment Method
Available methods include:
- Credit Card (Stripe): Enter card number, expiration date, CVC, and billing country. Transactions are processed instantly.
 - PayPal: Redirects you to log in with your PayPal account and confirm payment.
 - US Bank Transfer (ACH/Wire): Provides routing and account details for US clients to complete the transfer.
 - UK & EU Bank Transfer (IBAN/SEPA): Provides IBAN and SWIFT/BIC codes for UK and EU clients.

When paying by bank transfer, the invoice is marked pending until the transfer clears. Instructions are provided on-screen and sent via email.
Step 6: Complete Payment
Click the “Purchase” button to finalize the transaction. Do not refresh or navigate away during processing. Once the payment is successful, the confirmation screen appears, and you will also receive an email confirmation.
Order Confirmation #
For Credit Card and PayPal Payments
A receipt and PDF invoice are generated instantly. These are delivered by email and stored in your Basecamp project under Docs & Files.
For Bank Transfers
An invoice is generated immediately with banking instructions. The invoice remains open until the payment clears. Once funds arrive, the invoice is marked paid, and confirmation is sent. Processing time typically ranges from two to five business days depending on the banking network.
Invoicing and Records #
Every completed purchase generates a PDF invoice. Invoices include the client name, package purchased, billing address, payment method, and total paid. For accounting purposes, invoices are stored in Basecamp and may also be requested directly from your Project Manager.
Refunds and Adjustments #
Packages purchased online are non-refundable once work has started, as resources are allocated immediately. If there is an error in billing, such as duplicate charges, Shopstars will issue a correction or refund promptly.
Important Notes #
- Packages are billed in USD by default. Bank transfers may be made in GBP or EUR for UK and EU clients.
 - Discounts are only valid if a coupon code is applied at checkout. Codes cannot be retroactively applied after payment is complete.
 - Ensure that your email address is accurate, as all confirmation, invoices, and project initiation details are sent there.

Summary #
Paying for packages online is the fastest way to begin a project with Shopstars. The checkout process is straightforward: select your package, confirm details, enter contact and address information, choose a payment method, and complete the purchase. Once payment is received, invoicing and project setup are automatic, and all records are stored in Basecamp for transparency.
